Food & Culinary Arts
The Comedian Mike Myers, on the subject of Scottish culinary arts once said, "I think most Scottish cuisine is based on a dare." To the modern North American palate, it is understandable that some may feel that way.
IF YOU FEEL THIS WAY, THIS PAGE IS NOT FOR YOU!
Scottish cuisine is based on two fundamental principles: what's available and what's tasty. With these twin concepts as guides, there can be no error.
The Federation of Scottish Clans in Nova Scotia has compiled a cross-section of traditional Scottish and favourite contemporary recipes, some with a definite Canadian twist. The recipes are contributed from Scots from across Nova Scotia, starting with the traditional haggis & clapshot.
Each cookbook costs $10.00.
All mail orders should add $2.00 to cover shipping and handling.
